Chilli Maple Mustard Ribs recipe
Ingredients:
4 lb of pork spare ribs.
½ teaspoon of salt.
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
1 small onion, coarsely chopped.
½ cup of maple syrup.
3 tablespoons of vinegar.
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard.
2 teaspoons of chilli powder.
Preparation Instructions:
Sprinkle the spare ribs with salt.
In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
Cook the onion 5 minutes or until tender.
Stir in the maple syrup, vinegar, mustard and chilli powder.
Reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Prepare a low-heat grill; arrange a foil-drip pan between coals. Place the spare ribs on the grill. Grill the ribs, covered, for 1 hour 30 minutes, turning a couple of times. Brush ribs with glaze during last 45 minutes of grilling.
